My friends and I have been having fun at college too.
We can be quite silly, but we're pretty proud of what silly produces.
I don't like to self-promote, but this is more about my friends than me, although I am super proud of these videos we've been making.
What is becoming a video series started very randomly one day when we were all straightening our hair. For some reason, we grabbed a phone, hit record and made a little video of it. And so started the WW Commercials.
That first video became a fake commercial for 'WW Salon,' a hair business run by a white girl with an unnatural oriental accent. Aubrey played the customer with a big-hair dilemma and Megan 'fixed her up.'
We had so much fun with that video that we knew immediately we wanted to do more like it and so just recently we uploaded another called 'WW Gym.'
WW Gym offers a special 8-hour program with immediate results.
Megan and Aubrey had the same type of roles as each took in 'WW Salon' as owner and customer, but were very different people with a very different service. Rachael popped in again with a random role, being the CEO instead of a customer this time.
The short length of the first video was fitting and this one just ended up longer, but I think it was fitting just as much.
We like the random factor of our videos. We don't plan what video we're doing next or script everything out. The WW videos start with an idea and more ideas come from every mind and every direction. We have a general outline of what we want to happen and we go from there. Lots of things happen on the spot and we just fly with it. Too many takes can dull what we're doing so we minimize them. It works for us.
I mainly stay behind the camera, but I'm not complaining at all! I really like bringing things together with the filming and editing and occasional directing. This last video is better than the first we think and I know they'll continue to get better!
But who cares anyway? We're doing this because it's fun.
So check out my channel if you like.
